Notes: LaRouche launched his 1976 and 1980 campaigns from New York and his remaining campaign from Virginia. LaRouche was convicted in 1988 on federal for mail fraud and conspiracy to defraud the IRS and served five years in prison from 1989 to 1994. LaRouche was an independent candidate for Virginia's 10th CD in 1990 and won 1.4 percent of the vote.
