Notes: | Martin became an organizer of the Nonpartisan League and was convicted in 1918 of violating the state's espionage law stemming from an August 18, 1917 speech in Kenyon given by a fellow Nonpartsan League manager Joseph Gilbert against the United States invovlement in World War I. Martin subsequently stated he agreed with Gilberts' statement. Martin later became an attorney. |
