Renville County

Renville County is located in South Central Minnesota and was established on February 20, 1855 by the Territorial Legislature. Renville County is named for guide, interpreter, and trading post operator Joseph Renville, whose mother was a Dakotah. Olivia is the county seat. Sources: Renville County website.
