Minnesota held its first presidential primary since 1992 after the passage of a law in 2016. As in the 1916 and 1992 iterations of the primary, voters had to indicate the name of the political party for which they were voting prior to receiving a ballot.

Biden won 38 delegates, Sanders won 27, and Warren won 10.
