Abeler was a chiropractor from Anoka and sitting state Representative (HD 49A, 1999-2003; HD 48B, 2003-2013; HD 35A, 2013-2015). Abeler would later get elected state Senator (SD 35, 2016-present).

Carlson was a marine combat veteran from Woodbury and candidate for U.S. Senate in 2012.

Munro was a resident of Princeton, a member of the U.S. Army Reserve, Republican candidate for SD 16 in 2010, and candidate for the 6th CD in 2016 and 2018.

Savior was an artist from Minneapolis and perennial candidate.
