Schmahl was a newspaper editor and reporter in Redwood Falls, Chief Clerk of the Minnesota House during the 32nd, 33rd, and 34th Legislatures (1901-1907), candidate for Governor in 1924, and state Treasurer (1927-1937, 1939-1951).
Dr. Magnusson was a history, civics, and sociology teacher at the State Normal School in St. Cloud.
Hendricks ran a dry goods company in West Duluth and was elected to the Duluth Board of Education in 1900.
