Block was a resident of St. Peter, sitting Sheriff of Nicollet County, and fire insurance agent at his firm Block & Sackett. Block sought the GOP nomination for Treasurer in 1894 but was defeated by August Koerner. He was also a candidate for Auditor in 1914.
Koerner was the state deputy public examiner and a resident of St. Paul.
Dorsett was a caterer from Minneapolis, nominee for SD 39 in 1902, 1908, and 1910, and nominee for Governor in 1904.
Powell was a resident of Washington County, 1896 Democratic nominee for HD 23, and Midroad Populist nominee for Clerk of the Supreme Court in 1898.
