Carver County

Carver County is located in the Twin Cities metropolitan area and was established on February 20, 1855 by the Territorial Legislature. Carver County is named for 18th Century explorer Jonathan Carver who wrote about his travels in Minnesota in his book "Travels Through the Interior Parts of North America in the Years 1766, 1767, 1768."
