Notes: | Anderson was married to Amanda Anderson, the president of the Minnesota Womens Christian Temperance Union. She organized the first W.C.T.U. in Minneapolis in 1877 and the first in the state in 1878. They came to Minneapolis from Omaha, Nebraska in 1875. He was killed after being thrown from a horse-drawn wagon while crossing a bridge as a train passed underneath and frightened the horse. |
