Notes: Baldwin was wounded at the Battle of Bull Run on July 21, 1861 and captured at the Battle of Gettysburg on July 1, 1863. He was imprisoned for 18 months at Macon, Georgia and Columbia, South Carolina. Baldwin moved to Minnesota in 1885. He served as state Superintendent of Indian Affairs from 1894 to 1897. Baldwin moved to the west coast thereafter and committed suicide in Seattle, Washington from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
