Notes: Wilson came to Minnesota in 1858 locating at Red Wing to become a professor of mathematics and civil engineering. Wilson served as Goodhue County Superintendent of Schools from 1866 to 1870. Wilson was appointed Minnesota State Superintendent of Public Instruction in 1870. Wilson was the father of Republican State Representative Frank M. Wilson (HD 21, 1893-1895).
