Notes: Bessesen served as State's Attorney of Wells County in North Dakota for two terms. He ran for North Dakota Lieutenant Governor in 1914 and placed third out of five candidates in the GOP primary. Bessesen came to Minneapolis in 1915 and served as president of the Minneapolis PTA Council from 1923 to 1924.
