Notes: | Finlayson was a former Hennepin County Deputy Sheriff. He was struck by an automobile in New Brighton a few weeks before the 1926 general election while distributing campaign literature. Finlayson was only briefly hospitalized, but died a month after the election from carbon monoxide poisoning after which an autopsy revealed he had endured 10 fractured ribs and a fractured skull from being hit by the automobile. |
