Notes: Allen's father, Alvaren Allen, was the first Mayor of St. Anthony. Allen was the Democratic nominee for Ramsey County Sheriff in 1886 but lost to Fred Richter. Allen was serving as Deputy Sheriff in 1897 when he committed suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot in a cottage at Kohlman's Lake.
