Hatch was an attorney from Minneapolis and former DFL state party chair, state Commerce Commissioner (1981-1989), and DFL candidate for governor (1990, 1994).
Lillihaug was a resident of Minneapolis, U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota (1994-1998), and eventual Associate Justice of the Supreme Court (appointed by Mark Dayton in 2013).
Junge was a state Senator (SD 46, 1983-2001) and served in majority whip (1991-1995) and assistant majority leader (1995-2001) positions.
