Kiffmeyer was a nurse from Big Lake and wife of former state Representative Ralph Kiffmeyer (HD 18B, 1985-1987).
Garcia was a counselor from Richfield and state Representative (HD 40A, 1991-1993; HD 63B, 1993-1999). She was the Independence nominee for SD 63 in 2002.
Shilepsky was a former Democrat, owner of a computer consulting firm from Minneapolis, Reform Party nominee for HD 59B in 1996, and Republican nominee for HD 58B in 2006.
Iverson was a software engineer from Eden Prairie.
