Marty was a state Senator (SD 63, 1987-1993; SD 54, 1993-2013; SD 66, 2013-present) from Roseville; Larson was a resident of Dassel and Executive Director of the Minnesota Association of Small Cities (1988-98).
Hatch was an attorney from Minneapolis, former DFL state party chair, state Commerce Commissioner (1983-1989), and DFL candidate for governor in 1990; Schmitz was a farmer from Jordan and former state Senator (SD 36, 1975-1991).
Bouza was the former Minneapolis Chief of Police (1980-1989) and Director of the Minnesota Gaming Commission (1989-1991); Stokes was a resident of Britt.
For the LaRouche-backed ticket, Van Bergen was a resident of Buffalo and a Democratic U.S. House candidate for the 6th CD in 1992; Mesaros was a perennial candidate and resident of Minneapolis.
