Johnson was an accountant from St. Paul. He was the Farmer-Labor candidate for Lieutenant Governor in 1940, a DFL candidate for Lieutenant Governor in 1944, for Clerk of the Supreme Court in 1954, and for Secretary of State in 1970.
Flodquist was a resident of North Branch, Farmer-Labor candidate for Railroad and Warehouse Commissioner in 1940, candidate for HD 44 in 1944, and nominee for SD 44 in 1946.
