Williams was a resident of St. Paul and executive national organizer of the Farmer-Labor Political Federation. He was also a Farmer-Labor U.S. House nominee for the 4th CD in 1928, 1936, and 1938 and a candidate for an at-large seat in 1932.
Johnson was an accountant from St. Paul. He was the Farmer-Labor nominee for Treasurer in 1942, a DFL candidate for Lieutenant Governor in 1944, for Clerk of the Supreme Court in 1954, and for Secretary of State in 1970.
Barker was a newspaper editor from Elbow Lake, former state Representative (HD 48, 1931-1939) and House Speaker (1937). Barker was also the DFL nominee for Governor in 1946.
Ebbesen was a farmer from Revere. He was also a Farmer-Labor candidate for Lieutenant Governor in 1938 and the 7th CD in 1942.
