Rasmussen was a resident of Moorhead and state Budget Director. Rasmussen was subsequently the Farmer-Laborite candidate for Governor in 1942, DFL Railroad & Warehouse Commissioner nominee in 1946, DFL nominee for Treasurer in 1950, DFL candidate for Governor in1 954, DFL Railroad and Warehouse Commissioner (1952-1967), and DFL Public Service Commissioner (1967-1970).
Endersby was a resident of West St. Paul.
