Gallagher was a Minneapolis attorney and Democratic nominee for Attorney General in 1936 who was later elected to the Minnesota Supreme Court where he served four terms (1943-1967).
Schilplin was a newspaper publisher from St. Cloud and candidate for governor in 1934.
Murray was a resident of St. Cloud and former head of the Minnesota department of the American Legion.
Victor Anderson was a resident of St. Paul, U.S. District Attorney of Minnesota, former Mayor of Wheaton (1907-1910), former Traverse County Attorney (1909-1913), former assistant Attorney General, and Democratic at-large U.S. House candidate in 1932.
Lethert was an attorney from St. Paul, Democratic candidate for the 4th CD in 1912, and Clerk of the Supreme Court in 1918.
Joel Anderson, a resident of Minneapolis, had been a Farmer-Laborite.
