Schall was an attorney from Excelsior, Progressive-turned-Republican U.S. Representative (CD 10, 1915-1925), and candidate for U.S. Senator in 1923.

Hallam was an attorney from St. Paul, former Second Judicial District Judge, and former Associate Justice of the Supreme Court (1913-1923). Hallam was also a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in 1924.

Sageng was a farmer from Dalton, former state Representative (HD 59, 1901-1903), and state Senator (SD 59, 1907-1915; SD 50, 1915-1923, 1951-1955).
