Siegler was a resident of Duluth and electrician for the Northern Pacific Railway.
Bryan was an attorney from Minneapolis, son of Nebraska Governor Charles Bryan, nephew of former Democratic presidential nominee and U.S. Secretary of State William Jennings Bryan, and cousin of Congresswoman Ruth Bryan Owen.
