Associated Justices Holt and Hallam were reelected to their second full term and third term overall.

Hallum resigned on May 25, 1923 to run in the U.S. Senate special election, where he placed second on the GOP primary behind Governor J.A.O. Preus. Governor Preus appointed Royal Stone to fill the vacancy on May 25, 1923. Stone was an attorney from St. Paul, former Assistant Attorney General (1905-1907), and sitting president of the Minnesota State Bar Association.

Fraser was an attorney from Rochester, candidate for Attorney General in 1912, and nominee for Associate Justice of the Supreme Court in 1924.

Vanderburgh was an attorney from Minneapolis, candidate for Associate Justice of the Supreme Court in 1920, 1922, 1924, and 1928, and nominee for Associate Justice of the Supreme Court in 1926, 1930, 1932, 1934, and 1936. He was the son of Charles Vandenburgh, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court from 1882-1894.
