Attorney General Hilton was elected to a second term.
Davis, a former mayor of Marshall and Marshall City Attorney, was the first non-major party nominee to place second in an election for state attorney general. Davis was nominated by petition.
Gislason served as Lyon County Attorney, defeating Davis for that office in 1904. At the end of the campaign, Gislason urged Minnesota voters to back the incumbent Hilton.
Haug was a Norwegian-born Minneapolis attorney who was nominated by petition.
