Heinrich was elected Register of Deeds for Hennepin County and served two years. He was renominated as the Democrat-People's nominee for Secretary of State in 1898.

McConkey was a resident of Fergus Falls and Farmers' Alliance-Prohibition nominee for HD 48 in 1892.
