Lommen was a farmer from Crookson and sitting state Senator (SD 51, 1891-1895).
Ludwig operated a hotel in Winona, was a former Winona Treasurer, Mayor of Winona, and Democratic nominee for Treasurer in 1883.
Way was a resident of Minneapolis and state Chair of the Prohibition Party and former independent candidate for SD 30 in 1890.
