2022 Election Cycle

In August, Minnesota held its first special election to the U.S. House since 1977 with the GOP holding the 1st CD seat. In November, the DFL swept all constitutional executive offices for a party-record fourth consecutive cycle. Both incumbents on the Supreme Court won their races without opposition. The DFL also netted one seat in the State Senate to flip the chamber (34 to 33) and retained control of the State House.
