1870 Election Cycle

Democrats were unable to hold their 2nd CD seat and, for the second consecutive cycle, an all-new U.S. House delegation was elected to represent Minnesota in D.C. Republicans maintained majorities in both legislative chambers for the 13th Legislature: 13 to 9 in the Senate and 32 to 15 in the House.
