Sibley County

Sibley County is located in South Central Minnesota and was established on March 5, 1853 by the Territorial Legislature. Sibley County is named for Democratic Wisconsin U.S. Delegate (1848-1849), Minnesota U.S. Delegate (1849-1853), and Minnesota Governor (1858-1860) Henry Sibley. Gaylord is the county seat.
