Murray County
Murray County is located in Southwestern Minnesota and was established on May 23, 1857 by the Territorial Legislature. Murray County is named for St. Paul attorney William Pitt Murray who served in the Territorial House, on the Territorial Council, the State House, and the State Senate as well as Ramsey County Attorney, Ramsey County Commissioner, and St. Paul City Council member.
