Mower County

Mower County is located in Southeastern Minnesota along the Iowa border and was established on February 20, 1855 by the Territorial Legislature. Mower County was named for carpenter, millwright, and lumberman John E. Mower who also served in the Territorial Council (District 1, 1854-1856) and State House (HD 22, 1875-1876).
