Notes: | Prior to the 1926 general election, McDermott, the Democratic nominee for Clerk of the Supreme Court, married Roy A. Perrizo and thus legally changed her name to Winifred Perizzo (or, Mrs. Roy A. Perrizo). It was the first time such an occurrence had happened in Minnesota politics so it was unclear which name should be placed on the November ballot. The Assistant Attorney General Chester S. Wilson stated the nominee could have her name printed either way. |
