Notes: | Windom came to Minnesota in 1855 locating at Winona. His name was placed into nomination for president at the 1880 Republican National Convention by former State Senator Elias F. Drake. Windom received the support of all 10 Minnesota delegates for the first 28 rounds of balloting. Windom was Secretary of the U.S. Treasury Department from March to November 1881. |
