Notes: Bouma ran for Brainerd City Clerk in 1921 and Mayor of Brainerd in 1923. He lost the latter race to Con O'Brien. Bouma moved to Racine, Wisconsin and was the Socialist nominee for the 1st CD special election of 1931 (placing second of four candidates with 27.4 percent) and 1st CD general election of 1932 (placing third of five candidates with 4.9 percent).
