Notes: | LaDue came to Minnesota in 1857 locating at Red Wing. He settled in Luverne in 1885. At 99 years, LaDue was the oldest man in Rock County at the time of his death. He was appointed U.S. Postmaster at Sherman (New York) on May 23, 1853. LaDue raised harness race horses and is reported to have sold one to a czar of Russia. |
