Notes: | Brandborg was a leader of the Farmers' Alliance state committee during the 1880s and 1890s including serving as the state president. He was charged with second-degree murder in the clubbing death of Ole Anderson during a skirmish following a political rally in Henning, Minnesota on July 4, 1891. [Initial reports listed the deceased as Hans Manson]. Brandborg was acquitted by the jury on the grounds of self defense. |
